Should Christians Hate?

We are commanded to hate evil if we love God!

We must become experts at detecting evil in our own lives, nation, and world. We combat evil and evildoers with: 1. TRUTH- Exposing lies with God's truth, 2. OBEDIENCE- Turning away from evil and obeying God's commands, 3. GOOD- Doing good to all people especially victims of evil, 4. PEACE/LOVE- Seeking and maintaining peace with all people especially those that desire peace, 5. WAR/HATE- Hating evil so much that we fight to protect the innocent and peacemakers from evildoers.

Psalm 97:10 (NLT) You who love the Lord, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked.

Psalm 34:12-14 (NLT) Does anyone want to live a life that is long and prosperous? Then keep your tongue from speaking evil and your lips from telling lies! Turn away from evil and do good. Search for peace, and work to maintain it.

Ecclesiastes 3:1, 8 (NLT) For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven...A time to love and a time to hate. A time for war and a time for peace.
